Information we use

Legend may receive:

  • Email addresses and preferences used for favourites, saved searches, price alerts, cellar tools, or subscriptions.
  • Names, business contact details, websites, markets, product-list information, and messages submitted in a business application or account.
  • Technical records such as request time, route, device or browser signals, performance, and security events.
  • Offer-selection events needed to send a buyer to the chosen merchant and measure a genuine visit.

IP addresses are processed transiently for security and fraud checks and are stored only as a one-way hash, not as raw IP addresses.

Why we use it

We use this information to provide requested tools, respond to applications, operate merchant accounts, keep offers reliable, prevent abuse, measure platform performance, meet legal obligations, and improve the service. We use information only where there is a service, contractual, security, legal, or consent-based reason to do so.

Sharing and payments

We share information only where needed with infrastructure, email, analytics, security, and payment providers acting for Legend, or when law requires it. Selecting an offer takes you to the merchant’s own website; that merchant then handles information under its own privacy policy.

Payment processing is provided by Stripe. Legend does not store complete payment-card details.

Storage and retention

We retain information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected, account administration, security, financial records, dispute handling, or legal obligations. Access is restricted by role, and sensitive values are protected in transit and at rest where appropriate.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, and may withdraw consent where consent is the basis for use. Some records may need to remain for fraud prevention, finance, or legal compliance. Saved consumer tools provide their own removal controls where available.

Questions and requests

For a privacy question or rights request, use the contact form, select the closest business type, and state clearly that your message is a privacy request. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
